Thea Haldorsen
Provisional Psychologist at the Warragul clinic for 6yo+
Thea is a provisionally registered Psychologist in Australia and is at the tail end of her training in Australia. Thea is a fully registered Psychologist with four years of clinical experience in Norway. For now, she has swapped the cool climate of Scandinavia for Gippsland.
She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in hospital and community mental health settings, providing psychological assessments and therapy. Her work covers a wide range of mental health concerns, including sleep difficulties, emotional and stress-related challenges, and learning difficulties.
She uses evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Thea sees therapy as a collaborative process, helping people explore what feels overwhelming, focus on what matters most, and take steps to move forward. Life can throw unexpected challenges our way, and having someone to help make sense of thoughts and emotions can make a real difference.
Thea completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Copenhagen and has studied and worked across Norway and Australia. Her professional interests include mood disorders and cognitive functioning. She is excited to continue her work in Australia.
Outside of work, Thea enjoys climbing, crocheting, and skiing.
