Marian MacDonald
Provisional Psychologist at the Warragul and Korumburra clinics for 6yo+
If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, burnt out, or unsure how to put what you are experiencing into words, Marian offers a calm, thoughtful space where it feels safe to begin making sense of things.
Marian has had several careers before choosing to retrain as a Psychologist, having been a successful journalist and farmer. Today, she is a Provisional Psychologist, providing assessments and support for a range of concerns, including stress and anxiety, burnout, grief, trauma, challenges at school or work, emotional regulation difficulties, ADHD and Autism. She has extensive experience supporting neurodivergent people, as well as their families, and is deeply committed to neuro-affirming, strengths-based practice. As a Gippsland farmer outside the clinic, Marian is familiar with many of the unique challenges and rewards that life on the land brings.
Her approach is grounded in warmth, curiosity and practicality. Marian takes time to understand you, rather than reducing your experience to symptoms or labels. She helps you identify what matters most to you and develop strategies that are realistic and suited to your life. This may include building emotional regulation skills, understanding attention and sensory differences, addressing burnout, or finding new ways to navigate relationships, work and family life.
Marian welcomes adults, adolescents and families who may feel uncertain about starting therapy, including those wondering whether their challenges are “enough” to seek support. She believes that if something is affecting your wellbeing, it is worth talking about.
Appointments are available at the clinic or via telehealth.
